Selling cookies door to door, Edsko Hekman went on to found the Hekman Biscuit Company, which was afterwards to become the Keebler Company.

Edsko’s enchantment with furniture, crafted in the old world conventions, would later blossom in his three sons Henry, Jelle and John. Their dad’s vision would be fulfilled by them and open the doors of the Hekman Furniture Company in 1922.

In 1993, Hekman got an upholstery business founded by Elliot Wood whose discriminating standards were a perfect match, Woodmark Furniture. The firm now appreciated a position of strength in the way it can offer its customer the finest in upholstery and exceptional casegoods.

Now, nearly a century old, Hekman Furniture is broadly recognized as one of America’s highest furniture providers.
